That's more like it. Jaxon Smith-Njigba crushed his yardage prop on "Thursday Night Football" to get us back in the win column and cash our fifth Look of the Day in seven tries. As the calendar flips to December, let's start the month off strong with a plus-money play on the ice.
Most of our Look of the Day picks are close to even odds, but after five winners in our last seven plays, we're feeling a little spicy on this fine Friday morning.
Jack Hughes returned from injury on Nov. 18 and has been peppering opposing goaltenders since. The New Jersey Devils center has racked up 40 shots on goal in the six games since his return, and he's recorded at least eight shots in four of them.
Hughes is coming off back-to-back games in which he finished with nine shots on goal. Now he gets to face the worst defense in the NHL in the San Jose Sharks. The Sharks lead the league in shots allowed per game (36.83), and they've surrendered at least 37 shots to their opponents in four of their last five road games.
This should be another game of target practice for Hughes, and we love the alt line in his easiest matchup of the season.
